Google Shopping Ads

Hi Everyone,

Firstly thanks for taking the time to consider offering me advice.

I am using google shopping ads for my new Ecommerce store, however it has been recommended to me (by google ads) to switch from the standard shopping campaign to a smart shopping campaign. I am currently tweaking the standard shopping campaign regularly until I find what works best for me, but I am no computer expert.

Anyway, I tried to look into the difference between the standard campaign and the smart campaign, but the help documents talk about computer language, which means nothing to me. My question is can anyone explain to me in simplistic terms, what the difference is ?

Also, can anyone recommend any SEO and google ads courses, that I could undertake online. Due to having a start up budget of next to £0, I am not outsourcing any work at all, so any courses would help me learn whilst progress on google ads, which inevitably is undoubtedly costing me slightly more than it needs to until I get a full understanding.

But....

Are you really sure this is the best way to promote your ecommerce store? If it's the store in your profile you are nowhere near ready to start spending money on adverts. There are a whole load of things need fixing first. Website reviews are only for full members so can't list anything here.

I appreciate the links for reading, I'll definitely have a read over them.

I never realised I had a store in my profile, but it must be, I only have the one Ecommerce store. I appreciate that, how do I go about getting a website review if I become a full member. As I say, I am a complete beginner so if I am honest, I literally just started by beginning to make a website and I am learning what to do as I go.
