Google PPC - Suspended Account

I have tried to advertise with Google and they suspended my account. I have asked them repeatedly why and they keep saying they cannot say.

Is there any way around this - I.E is there any PPC Companies that can advertise on our behalf without us having to have this account with Google?

We have had no problems advertising on Bing & Yahoo but obviously they generate little business.

As Karl suggested, try creating a new account and see what happens.

If that gets closed down, then it could be a number of things that are causing the problem - a common one is if they think someone is selling counterfeit items.

However, there are other reasons and I've heard Google has been on another round of closing accounts down.

(Though, from what I heard, they've been sending a warning first.)

Yeah tried three to date, each got suspended although havent tried pre paying. But im nervous to pre pay incase they suspend that account and i lose my money.

Keep trying this and it will be you they ban and not just the accounts you try to set up. Figure out what you are doing wrong before risking the inevitable.

It might be to do with your card.

I know they don't like you using the same card on multiple accounts.

If you have another card it's worth trying that.

plus: the most likely thing is counterfeit goods
they don't tell you why you are banned to avoid them having to justify their actions

the best thing to do is to get a friend to set up a test account using a different card and address and then try to create an ad identicle to one you had before, when you put your site url into the ad, if you are banned for a counterfeit goods claim then you will get a message on screen telling you the url is not acceptable due to counterfeit goods

you may not be selling counterfeit goods but google treat `passing off` (ie looking like a competitor brand) as counterfeit goods also

I hadn't noticed.

The only rule google has is that they don't like redirects on the landing page.

If links on the landing page re-direct elsewhere, it's unlikely to be an issue unless a manual reviewer thinks it's dodgy - i.e. intended to, or likely to, "trick" the visitor.

What I meant is that the ad should take people to same url as the landing page url. It shouldn't redirect to a different url.

But, unless the OP has told you privately that that was what she was doing, I doubt it was the problem.

Redirects within the site - i.e. links the user would have to click in order to trigger the redirect - are not usually a problem unless a manual reviewer thinks they're dodgy.

The display URL has to be the same root domain as the destination URL, but even so that will only lead to an ad disapproval not an account ban.

With regards to redirects, yes they are allowed, but it just means if the glid parameter is lost autotagging gets messed up and Analytics cannot differentiate between paid and organic traffic. It also means the site overlay feature on Analytics malfunctions.

I still think it's a card issue, although you should only get a card failure alert and not account ban... Even so, worth trying a new card.

Hiya

Keywords shouldnt indicate or be linked to copyright. Just general search phrases such as:

SPray tan equipment
spray tan machine
spray tan solutions etc.

As to bouncing I advertised puri-tan.net which is the main domain of our new site.

We own other domains such as thespraytanshop.com and puri-tan.com/co.uk and spraytansupplies.com that all link into that page. However they are just redirect URLS until we add them to the site.

I think it's the site that's the problem. My guess would be that a manual reviewer looked at it, thought it was a bit dodgy and closed you down.

It seems to be a sort of franchise/business opportunity offer - rather than just selling machines - and Google are very careful about those. One thing you need to have, but don't, is an earnings disclaimer. You should also add a privacy policy.

Finally, you need to clarify what the site is about. Right now, it's confusing.

If you are selling this as a business opportunity, that has to be explained clearly in the homepage copy and everything about the deal spelled out clearly.

On the other hand, if you're primarily selling equipment, make the site about that and have the training stuff just in one section where you have a little bit of copy and a form where they can request more info.

Steve is Right,
Google act as a third party referral when you do adwords.
The problem is that they look at every aspect of your website and looking at your website even I would reject it.
I would revise your ppc management and check if your breaking their guide lines.
Redirecting is one of the rules.
