Google map errors

I think quite a few people have been affected by the google map update. Just in case your wondering what has happened here is a quick low down.

Google acquire data from directories. If the title of the business doesn't correspond with one they have already in the database, they submit a new one to the map listings.
If you have a duplicate claim it and delete or modify it.

I think Google may have messed up slightly with maps.
My listing seemed to of merged with another companies in the same building.

I was listed on the first page for "parcel delivery" on the Google maps listing (even though I'm a computer repair company), it seems as though they have pulled the maps from being displayed on the web results now for that term.

Hopefully I will stop getting irrelevent traffic to my website!

These are the top 10 queries I am appear for according the site maps :-(

This is what confuses me,

if you look, at this http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=e...A&ved=0CCoQBSgA&q=electrician+walsall&spell=1

you should see in position c "C&N blah blah / elctrical installations"

if you look here http://www.google.co.uk/search?sour...1T4ADBS_enGB297GB297&q=electrician+great+barr

Position A is me, but look at D, me again, but it is my recent update, i recently dropped from reasonable traffic searches and have altered it. Im even considering deleting and starting again .

These are off one listing, not more than one.....

Yes, but a dissadvantage as well.
Especially when I get people moaning when google screws up maps listings thinking it is something to do with us.

Yup we occasionaly get the same moans. If we get a complaint now, we offer customers the choice to switch off their map.

Looking at the switch UKSBD used:
They don't aquire the data from us, but they add us to other peoples maps listings,
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q="uksmallbusinessdirectory.co.uk"

5000+ at the moment

Forgive me, but I'm obviously having a blond moment, what does this actually show?

Is it that you're showing 5000+ maps? Because you have a lot more listings than this?

It doesn't show our listings, but shows 5000+ other peoples maps listings that mention us somewhere, use us as reviews, or just use us in "more about this place"
