Hi

My friend forgot to renew his hosting and his website did not work for a few days. His web works now, but the home page is out of Google search. His web: www.megapowerflush.co.uk
I think that his site has been banned by Google. Do you know how long it could take? Any idea?
Thanks.
Adam

Site hasn't been banned. Search for the domain name and the site is still there. What's is more worrying is the fact that it is #10 where it should be #1 for the actual domain name.

As fisicx says it is definately not banned but I do think you are being penalised. Have only done a quick check but it appears you have multiple pages duplicated within the google index .ie

yourdomainname:/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=4&Itemid=2

yourdomainname:/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=4&Itemid=6

2 benefits pages indexed and duplicated.

yourdomainname:/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=6&Itemid=6

yourdomainname:/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=6&Itemid=2

2 What are the benefits of power flush

There are alot more but these are examples.

Also difficult to really give too much advise without seeing the files but considering your current lack of rankings (70 for 'power flushing london')I would assess these issues but also address the URL's because they are not search engine friendly. ie mod rewrites and then permanent re-directs.

I think you find this will definately accelerate any work you are doing and will help maintain position.

Plus you have alot of pages on the site, consider optimising more pages for more relevant keywords. You only need 1 page for Power Flush London. It is a local niche market with little competetion.

Input power flush london into google and look for all the listings such as gumtree, freeindex, that are in front of you and submit your site. Don't pay for anything, as its not needed.

You can start by sending in your sitemap.xml file to google, yahoo and live. it would be easier and would allow the search engines to crawl your friends site faster and without any problems in most cases.

But definately your friends site is NOT banned because he forgot to renew his website name.

Richard
