Hi all,

So far this forum has been fantastic, great source of information and nice people that are willing to help; I only hope in the future I can pass down my experience and advice to someone who may be in my position.

Anyway back to the point, I am 3 weeks or so from launching my business, though this is a variable date, if I need more time I will adjust for it.

Basically I am approaching my advertising options with three methods.

 • A website.
 • Word of mouth
 • Leaflets

Now the leaflets I will be relying on to be my main source of advertising initially, ironic that they are 3rd in the list, though the leaflet will have the website address on and also hopefully get me some customers that can tell people about my fantastic services.

I am looking for someone that can do me 10, 000 A5 Colour leaflets, I will make up the leaflet so that is covered, I am just going to base it on the website design. I have seen a few links on here to businesses that offer some good deals but I lost them (lol).

So if anyone would like to give me a quote that would be great, please include delivery costs also. Or if anyone would like to recommend someone who does good work and offers a fast service please let me know.

Thanks a lot.

Ben.

Thanks for the PM Karen, and advice about getting the leaflet done professionally, the sad fact is though that I don't have the funds to get it done like that yet, so I am going to have to use what ever I can come up with.

Kind regards.

Ben.

I have only recently launched, and knowing how precious start up budgets are, I cautiously recommend Best printing.co.uk. I did find some negative posts about delivery timescales but for the price I took a punt on tri fold and a5, the latter double sided I was very plsd with, as I didn't need them quickly and they were sooo cheep! A friend did the designs and then loaded them on for me zingiberidesign.co.uk

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the links, scuba print is expensive for me. However I have had a look at Best Print 10, 000 leaflets, choosing 170gsm, mat art work finish at random, for £155, don't know what the delivery cost of that is.

So carcaredirect, why do you say cautiously use best print? If they are delivering late is the only problem, then I could work around that, if I can get some idea of how late they are after their estimated delivery time.

I have seen a company on here also that did leaflets very cheaply, and called 10,000 mass marketing amount. I wish I could remember now.

Thanks. Anymore more recommendations welcome, I am looking for the best price I can get.

Ben.

Hi Ben,

Have you contacted Neil at Scuba Print for a quote from him?

What I will say is there are so many different variables that can go wrong with a printing company - from late delivery to poor print quality (most common problem).

I will only use people I've had recommended to me - I used Scuba Print once, and won't go elsewhere - the quality is superb - the leaflets I had printed looked brighter and more vibrant printed than they did on my screen - I was really impressed with the quality.

Yes but the standard price just listed on the site is far to much over my budget, so I doubt I will call him. Unless he can do me 10, 000 under £200. Thank you very much for the recommendation though, I really appreciate it.

Hi Ben,

When did you contact me? I have to say I dont remember seeing it....
A couple of questions for you, is the leaflets full colour and double sided?

What is the turnaround you need?

The reason for these questions is I maybe able to give you 10k for under £200.

morning
"Cautious" because when I googled them there were a few negative comments posted. Their business model is all on line so you have to upload the designs yourself,. as I said I got zingiberi to do that for me. My order wasn't late to be honest and I received lots of email updates and confirmations.
As I said in my original post, I apppreciate how every penny counts and as I've only used them twice..
Good luck

Hi,

No Neil, I haven't contacted you, I guess the start of my last post was a bit miss leading, my apologies. I wasn't saying yes to have i contacted you but rather acknowledging you, and saying I doubt I could afford it. Ok so in a nut shell I need 10, 000 A5 leaflets, colour, one side, 2sides if the increased cost isn't to much, with the design based on my website, I'm going to have to do the design I just cant afford to pay to have it done. Take a look at my site get an idea of what they will look like. www.icucomputers.co.uk the site is simple and to the point (or rather will be, its far from done, and is going to always be in a work in progress), only the home page is uploaded at the moment and the links just go back to the homepage (lol).

Hi, North West, thanks for the offer but I don't live near Lancashire. Though I am very grateful you asked.

Hi, CareCareDirect, ok that sounds cool, I can deal with uploading my own design so I will look into them more, thanks for the recommendation.

Hi, LimeOne they don't sound to bad will check that out £215 not to bad, I could just about push that.

Hi, Calibre Designs, I will PM you Monday, today is a 5min drop in on the forum I'm afraid, Valentines Day is quite important it seems.

So I have to say farewell, and I will be back Monday, and check all these great recommendations out.

Thanks a lot everyone, I feel like I can get these leaflets sorted out now, I just need to choose. Keep them coming though if you have anymore.

Thanks again.

Ben

HI

If your budget is tight and you have access to a computer and a printer could you produce them yourselves and then ask at your local newsagents - maybe several in your area and see what they will charge to deliver them with the National newspapers.
