Going into manufacture

Hi

I hope to bring my own range of products. We have done all our designs etc and now need to find a manufacturer.

I have been on alibaba and beginning to get some quotes. But I have some worries.

1. I am having prototypes done. But what happens if I agree a prototype and then order 3000 units and they are not the same quality.
2. Is Alibaba safe?
3. I am a bit reluctant to send my designs to loads of manufacturers. I can see copies being instantly made.

Any advice, tips?

I have had the same sorts of issues and have now decided to manufacture in the UK where there is better quality control and I can return the goods if faulty.

I have one manufacturer in China who is reliable and does not send me faulty goods but found them by trial and error only.

To make your design produced, this is concerning about a partner manufacturer.
1.Sign DNA with supplier not to disclose of your design.
2.Requiring samples from the supplier that make items similar with your design to make sure they can do a good work for your production. You need to check quality or workmanship of the items from the suppliers. You can asking from 2-3 suppliers and see which one is best.
3.More things need to considering bassed on what items you are going to manufacture.
4.Have an inspection after goods ready, if possible, have a list like report of the item, as well as the percentage of defectives, so, from the first trial order, you can check if this supplier is able to cooperate with you.
