Getting Google to rank your pages

How do you get Google to rank your pages at the moment Google is going crazy with my website it is indexing my webpages on the Google search engine every 4 days or even every 2 and I do not even know what I have done to get Google to index my website on Google search engine so much and the best thing is it keeps ranking me up.

do you come up at the top of google when you type your company name / domain name in??? If this is the case I think google just does checks on all the domain names out there and if people type that exact name then google brings it to the front as it is an exact match and nobody else can own your domain. There are a lot of things that will help your site but as you seem to have a lot of content on it thats going to help you anyway. I know some really good people who can help do SEO for you if you want to work on keywords etc.

What search terms are you typing in to get these results?
The way we approach this is to create mini sites with relevant keyword domains and link them to our main site.

Ah I see you are an auction site. Ask yourself this question tho, is someone looking to sell or buy goods at auction gonna type in "electronic enterprise"? I hardly think so, or am I missing the point?

Provide lots of fresh interesting and informative content. No more no-less.

Once google has completed indexing and notes that the pages don't seem to change much there is no reason for it to visit again.

Even if they are just test items, auctioning rubbish at ludicrous prices doesn't add a lot to the site's credibility.

What's the point in good SEO if people are put off instantly?
Also there is an SEO forum, not everything belongs in General.

 

Ar google - I have spent 1000's hours studing google and its indexing methods. It is not erally possible to make a connection between how oftern your site gets visited by google, and what this will actually mean for the results.

Looking at the site you have not made the most of your content, by this I mean using the H tags to highlight the titles and sub titles. Also you have no titles on the HREFs. Also your keyword (though not mega effective) are all the same. This does have a bigger impact with yahoo.

Also the front page does not really say very much about your webside, this needs to change.

Are you using XML sitemaps to assist google in finding your content. ??

You should also be aware that google doesn't index a site in one pass. It may simply look at your document head, then your content, then your images, then your headers and then the inbound links. Once indexing is complete (which can take up to 6 months) google might not visit again for a couple of weeks.

Hi RedRob

I put a driving instructor website together for a next door neighbour for nowt, made sure he was google business/maps, and really went to town with his google business profile.

Someone he was teaching put a review onto google business.

I then went and did a few directory submissions which aren't always great.

Do a search for driving instructor stoke on trent

Now the on the road stoke website is on page 4 of the normal search results at the minute, it's not been live that long and the link building hasn't been on a grand scale.

But, because the profile on google business has been placed by the business owner, heavily modified (well compared to the rest in this category) and has reviews it has rapidly rose to the nearly top of the pile.

Better still that search term just happens to bring back google business results onto your standard web search page.

So maybe not number 1 in terms of the serps, but in actual fact the On the road appears 3rd on the businesses list that appears at the top of page 1.
