GDPR / DPA Registration with Subsidiary

Afternoon, can anyone shine a light if there is a loop hole that would allow my company to have an ICO registration that would cover 100% Subsidaries of my company. Each company would be of different industries.

I know it's not the norm but the data controller would be the same person across the Holding company and Subsidiaries. Just trying to figure if there's a way to have it as one central registration whilst at the same time minimising paperwork and cost even if it is only £35 per annum.

If they are separate companies, I imagine you would need a new registration for each company. If they are just different trading names of the same company then 1 registration.

Give them a call, they are actually quite helpful.

Okay Tony84 thank you for the prompt reply I wil ring them on Monday, normally the only time I have found a Government Authorised agency to be helpful is HMRC when it comes to paying a tax bill.

I get the impression it is only a small department. i remember sending my registration form across and calling up 10 minutes later. They put me on hold and 2 minutes after that she came back and said it had been put on the system and I was free to trade.

Literally 20-25 minutes after paying my £35.
