Only posting this on this forum after i posted similar on a few other forums the last time a journo asked me for help and she got spammed. Basically, if you are interested, send me a quick email or give me a buzz just saying you can help and I will send her email address over.
A good free publicity opportunity for those of you who have started a business after being made redundent.
Sorting out finances after redundancy - all comment/advice gratefully received
I'm writing a feature looking at the upside of redundancy for Moneywise magazine. I'm looking for comment on how to get your finances sorted - everything from:
1) How to work out the basic costs of living and how long your pay-out will last for
2) How to go about replacing company benefits such as pension, healthcare > and car - and whether it is worth replacing them
3) The costs you need to consider of any big projects you have in mind - such as studying, travelling, starting a new business etc
4) The best places to go for free, sound advice
5) Whether it's worth getting unemployment insurance - from mortgage
payment protection to full income protection.
