I’ve found a potential new supplier in the Far East to replace container orders from China.

I don’t want to risk another deposit so I’m thinking of an Escrow service.

Has anyone got experience with this? What are the fees involved for £30-40k transactions?

We have used Transpact a few times in the past and their fees are very reasonable. You would probably looking at around £100 for the level of transaction

I pay my solicitors to manage an escrow account. They sort out all the administration and paperwork and send me a bill annually. I'm billed anywhere from £1k a year up to £5k. I probably overpay for the convenience of not having to get my head around it but I prefer to focus on my competency and let others sort the rest.
