Ever lived in the East?

Is there anyone here who has lived in Hong Kong.. or even better marketed in Hong Kong?
If so could you spare me a few minutes to fill me in on the culture there.

I visited a while ago and was overwhelmed with all the colour. neons and messages, so need to plan carefully how to get my message heard with all the other stimuli.... ideally by parents of mid school pupils.

Do people generally listen to radio or read magazines as over here?

Any one any insights?

Hi Christine, my husband used to live there and his brother still does. His suggestion if you are aiming for the ex-pat market is to aim for an ad in the mags that are issued by the schools which seem to be popular amongst that community, or are you aiming for the hong kong/chinese market specifically?

I was beginning to think about magazine adverts. Do you have any idea where I can get to the editors/ advert acceptance people. Or do the schools themselves produce them.

E-Pats I am sure will be a good market, but also the Hong Kong / Chinese.

Anyone who is sitting music exams in fact as we help them prepare for the aural tests. These are a small part of the exams, but one which is often pushed out by emphasis on the more major parts. A good aural ability though can make the diference between a merit and a distinction, or a pass/fail. Not only for the marks, but because it reflects in the performance if you understand the music.

So we give the students the facility to practise them which they would not have without someone to play the piano and ask questions.

Sorry if that sounds a bit like a sales pitch, Its what we do!!!

The husband recommends DB magazine (I can't find a link) and bizarrely Hong Kong Football Club http://www.hkfc.com.hk/clubmagazine.asp. He also thinks that the magazines are produced by the schools, I definitely think your service would work here [with the ex pats] as they are so results driven.
