Drop shipping and website advice

Hi
I am interested in finding people who can help me sell my product; basically i will be there drop shipper.

I would like to know if any one can help or can offer advice on the pitfalls or advantages of this kind of set-up.

Any kind of help will be appreciated.

I have also had to design the website my self to keep costs down.

My website can be viewed at www.mameshak.co.uk.

I would appreciate any feedback about my site.

I am particularly interested if the font colours are easy on the eye, and if it is easy to navigate around the pages.

It sells arcade machine so any one who helps and finds them selves interested, get an instant 10% discount after helping : D

Thanks in advance Mario

Sorry to be rude but I really don't like it. It looks really home made and tacky.

I don't think it has got any real form to it. there are so many colours that my eyes kept jumping all over the page. Plus the page was just so long.

Maybe you'd be better of finding just one colour (something that doesnt resemble a highlighter pen) and have separate pages for each section. :)

Best of Luck with your business :)

Sorry Mario - but I totally agree with TheBookingAgency - my initial first reaction was it took quite some time for my eyes to focus.

I appreciate that gaming machines, by their very definition are bright and "in your face" - to get the attention of the punter, but I am sure you could make the site a good deal more subtle, using more lighter and softer colours, which would give it a far more professional look.

I don't wish to appear negative, but you really ought to get it right from the start. As someone once said, theres nothing more important than a first impression. :)

Hi
I really do appreciate the feedback, i can see what you are both saying.

I will be making some changes soon as it was all done in a rush as i did need to actualy build what i am selling.

I will post back when i have made the changes, but please continue to add feedback regarding the site.

I was a little stuck in my ways, as it was a childhood dream to be able to do all this, and most of my ideas have not changed (regarding the green and purple colouring of the website)

I will be softening the colours but i the like green and purple as thay are very common gaming colours.

Do you think that will help or should i consider changing colours all together, please be more specific with the changes you imply.

Thanks again, and a great forum

Hi Mameshak

I have just had some great fun playing Frogger on your site, that took be back a few years!

I personally think that, used correctly, the colours on your site are not a problem. These early video games used 8 bit processors and only had a few colours available. Used correctly I think these colours could be used to achieve a retro feel.

For me the first improvement you should make all those unnecessary logos down the left margin. My first thought was that they were adverts. When I see that many adverts on a site I normally instantly click the ‘back button’ as similar sites often bombard you with ‘pop-up’ ads as soon as the page has finished loading.

Ad the previous posters have stated you should then reduce the page size and other general ‘clutter’. You aim should be to have a consistent feel to each page. Don’t try to put too much information on each page. Make your navigation menu more visible and more effective. Don’t mix all the colours in each paragraph etc, use them a bit more sparingly

I think these sort of improvements to your site you will be able to get away using your purple and green colour scheme.

Good luck – Don’t give up on your childhood dream yet!

Hi
And thanks again for all the feedback.
I have made some changes but nothing drastic at the moment, i have tried to simplify things and de clutter the pages.

I have stuck to the colour scheme for the moment, as im not sure what i may change it to if at all.

Im also interested if my price list is understandable and if what the basic cabinet consists of.

Thanks again
