Doesn't it make you mad when.....

You ask a shop assistant politely where something is she looks at you and just tilts her forehead to another aisle and grunts?

the cashier throws all your goods down the till belt and then sits back and watches you frantically pack your bags?

the bag with the one good bottle of wine you bought snaps and your goods fall everywhere?

I'm going back into my cave Christmas is cancelled.......
 
I worked abroad for 5 years and in that time I came across some people in banks, shops etc that would finish their conversation with a friend befiore they served you. I put it down to culture difference and I always said to myself "this would never happen in the UK. We are so polite with people and we take customer service very seriously." needless to say that when I returned home it was worse than abroad. I have often got angry with people in customer service for being unpolite to me. I feel like a Victor Meldrew sometimes but it makes me boil when they either look at you stupid with your question or they can't be arsed to answer it. If they don't like or enjoy their work they should find another job and stop making our lives miserable.

That's my grumble over :D

Unfortunately for my other half and my family i am not one for biting my tonge

I cross swords with so many ppl, over lack of manners, rules put in place to suit them. And i look back on the battles i have fought this year. With the trust who owns the property of the home we live in etc. I have my reasons. and i know i have offended so many ppl. I am known as the Alf Garnet of Northampton. It is no conicendece that i am also an Eastender. But in simple fact, i am tired of ppl saying "Oh Alastair won;t mind" that one thing i have decided for next year is NO more.

I have also been carrying out an experiement with some of my so called mates. It is always me who phones and keeps in touch. To the extent now thati do not bother. Lets leave it to see how long it takes them! So far no one has broken the silence. Oh sorry one person did.
"Wen are you coming down Al?, we have news"
"Give us a ring Al"
Notice two parts of the sentence there in the email?

"wen am I coming down?
LAst i looked the M1 has two lanes both south and northbound
Trains also operate in both directions!

and "Give us a Call"?
Again why is it me who has to do the running?

And i only got that email as i contacted them rearding their addy for sneind a pressie!

No way Sod off. Grrrrr I am saying no more, Gripe over.

Just been into Waitrose to buy some fudge for my wife, and infront of me in the queue was a Waitrose employee buying her Christmas Shopping.

Not only did she take ages tp pay with her employee discount cards and special rate schemes, but she was chatting to the girl behind the counter for ages about how crap it is to work in Waitrose and how that new girl is useless and the Mars Bar stand kept falling down and......etc

In their defence, the cashier did look a bit uncomfortable and kept giving me an emarrassed smile as the other woman rattled on for ages.

They either shouldn't allow employees to do their shopping in the middle of the busy period, or at least make them take off their uniform so that it doesn't look too bad.

(Just kicked the cat)

My experience was awful, not only did I get beaten black and blue by trolleys, but my card declined at the checkouts. It appears that even though I was paid yesterday, I have been excesivley spending and barclays put a hold on my account until they could confirm all my transactions!! Very Very embarrasing!

Do you know what I find irritating to the point that I could cheerfully bash them over the head? Those poeple at cash machines who know there is a queue, they take cash out, then order a balance, then stand and examine it, then put card back in order mini statement, then put card in AGAIN and withdraw more cash! Does my tree in.

As for ignorant shop assistants, I hate them when they chew gum and you ak them where something is and they shrug, then shout 'Sheena' Who happens to be over the other side of the shop and walks like a snail.

Hi there

Claire, this Asdas you talk about, not the one in dagenham is it?

I shop in Sainsburys in Northampton, and for once i have nothing to moan about. staff always happy and helpful. Offer to pack my shopping for me, even if it is only a tin of beans lol

As far as Asda's are concerned, don;t even go there. After what i saw on Supermarket Secrets, i would be reluctant to shop inthere again
Did i sayi had no winge. Damm u know its as my wife said, "Winging for me is an in built mechanism"

Oh Nic, you've won me-even though you're the property of Mac :wink:

I would love to go shopping with you and let myself loose. My wife punches me in the ribs every time I offer comment about crap service in stores. I hate it when you're overcharged at the checkout, then you have to go through a Record of Interview and interrogatrion at the 'Customer Service' station just to get your refund.

And,
It just pisses me off when I hold a door open for someone and they just walk through without a word of thanks.

Lol Nigel. It has been known for me to raise my eyebrows at cashiers who take my money and dont say thanks. I raise my eyebrows and say, sorry didnt quite catch that, and they look at me blankly and I say ' Oh right you said thanks? Sorry love didnt hear you! Depending on how seriously ignorant they are I usually get a response or Im escorted off the premises by a sub normal security guard!

Oh the opening of doors thing grinds my gears. Do you not shout after them, yeah thanks, no problem?

I usually give them until they are side by side and then if they haven't smiled or said thank you I say loudly "F**K**G ignorant B******S"

I am not a nice person to ignorant people :lol:

I hate it when you buy something for say 4.99 and they take your fiver put it in the till and shut it. I usually look at them with blank eyes until they go...."Oh sorry I forgot your change". It might only be a penny but even so, in fact if they go to give it to me, I often say, put it in the charity box, or dont worry about the change, but when they blatantly forget, just because it's 1p it really winds me up.

I hate shop assistants full stop. I once went into my local off licence with my little girl who was only 2 at the time, she picked a magazine and I treated myself to a bottle of wine. The stupid guy who owned the shop put my wine side down on top of the mag, my little girl reached up for the mag and pulled it, the wine rolled, he grabbed it and looked at her like she was a piece of s**t. I had just handed a 20 pound note over and I said 'who the hell do you think you are looking at my little girl like that, you put the wine on top of it you ignorant, stupid blah blah. I said I tell you what stick it all up your ass an give me my money back. He gave me 20 pound coins. As I was leaving I didnt notice that my little boy in the furore had picked up a pac of poke mon cards and he came after me and said are you paying for those. I looked and said 'oh yeah how much?' he told me he price and I just threw the money, it bounced off every wall in he shop and I said, 'right go scrabble for it you loser and dont think Im coming in here ever agin giving you my good money!'

He died last year of an heart attack.

you are all right of course, you simply so not het the service these days.

In the businesses you run and the companies you work for. If we spoke to out customers in this fashion, we would be given a p45 and sent on our way! But evey other business is to get away with it.

Its not only peoples manners in the stores that get me, its their driving as well. you give way to ppl. Even reverse to allow them through, do the scrags thank you never.

And do you know i was ON a roundable a month or so ago, and on two sep instances cars came charging at me. No intention of stopping. yes i had to give way. I could swear half the ppl on the road today, no manners, or even a drivers licence?

Yes another winge.
