    Hi,

i'm currently trying to create a sign up form on my website for an ebook.

The website is a wordpress site and i've tried to use the Elementor page builder app. Unfortunately it looks like the "form" feature is locked behind a paywall.

Are there any other alternatives to create a landing page to collect email addresses?

One option you could look at is a Mailchimp integration, which will add the emails to a subscription list but then you could also use Mailchimp to automatically verify the email address with an opt-in confirmation and then automatically send out the ebook to the subscribers once they have confirmed their email address.

    Try this:

Has mailchimp integration built into the plugin.

Or get the Acymailer plugin, which has a free version, and do the same as Mailchimp! Other plugins available.

BTW, this assumes that all you want to do is get people to fill a form out and get a link to download the book (also adding them to list).

One way which makes sense is simply using Woocommerce.

Install Woocommerce create a new product for your ebook. You can set it as a downloadable product and have it available to download upon purchase:

    Completely free.

Or use a digital download plugin.

But @Tigris seems to want to build a mailing list which isn't quite the same thing.

With Woocommerce you could easily add a checkbox to the signup form or integrate Mailchimp.

I would be wary of using a plugin specifically for this when Woocommerce has been around for many years and almost guaranteed that the plugin won't be abandoned over time or changed to paid.

But using woo commerce is a very large sledgehammer to crack a very small nut (creating a mailing list). There are umpteen plugins you can use to collect email addresses. I'm assuming that @Tigris will provide a download link on receipt of the signup details.

Yeah I do get where you are coming from. But I would argue Woocommerce is a well optimised plugin, it has a very good signup form built-in that is tried and tested for conversions. It supports digital downloads out of the box and gives the option to easily add more ebooks or physical products in future.

There are many very badly made small plugins out there. You could get lucky and find the perfect plugin for this or you could install a plugin that's later abandoned or converted to a paid plugin.

Ultimately there are pros and cons to both. The OP will decide what is best for them.

Woocommerce is a well optimised plugin,
It is, but is possible overkill for the requirement.

If offering lots of different options, it would make more sense, however, sometimes, less is more!
