Ok so is it true that if i write down what it is that i have added to our services that is unique and post it to myself as long as it is sealed i presume that is copyright

You own copyright of any creative work from the outset - it's automatic and enshrined in UK law.

The old 'letter trick' hasn't yet been proven in a court of law... kind of an urban myth.

In any case I don't think you can 'copyright' a service - you'd probably need to patent that... best speak with Phil though.

The words you are using to describe the service are automatically your copyright.

You cannot 'copyright' the actual service though or the concept. There is no copyright on ideas.

You cannot copyright a service per se, and the words you describe of your service may be too broad to afford it any protection in law. This will depend on the word or phrase itself and it will not be automatic.

Copyright is automatically yours if you are the first author and owner of that copyright and have not assigned it in writing. It is difficult to claim ownership of some words and phrases
