Everyone

If the latte levy comes in, 25p for a cup, I was thinking there must be a surge in people buying collapsible cups that they can re use time after time.
Just need to buy in bulk and sell them, I was thinking ebay, pop up stall in my local shopping centre, facebook etc.
Couple of things are bothering me, one, am I too late jumping on this, even though the levy hasnt actually came in yet and the second thing is, is it a sustainable business?

Regards

Ebay and Amazon will destory the market.

I had a similar idea with wireless headphones when there was news that new iphones wouldn't have an audio jack. Dozens of sellers were already selling them for cheaper than i could buy.

Might be viable in the short term. A pop up in a shopping centre doesnt sound right for this. Ebay is probably the best option

eBay definitely the wrong way to go. Fred isn’t going to be sat at home on Monday thinking about Tuesday mornings coffee and order off eBay which, if lucky, he’ll get for Wednesday. You need to be where the cups are needed, when they are needed.

A pop-up stall near the coffee shops may have legs, trouble is you’ll be competing with the coffee shops who’ll be buying in millions rather than thousands and get first contact with 100% of your market. You’ll need a excellent usp and don’t think the coffee shops won’t be providing exactly what they know the majority of their customers want.
