Clickbank Questions

Good afternoon,

Only started using Clickbank for affiliate links and I'm just trying to get my head around a few things.

There doesn't seem to be an overall balance, just weekly incomes. Is there any way to view the overall balance or change the weekly figures to monthly?

Plus, in terms of receiving the funds. I initially set my threshold to $50 to begin with. So, I assume this means that after it reaches the threshold it automatically distributes a cheque, yeah?

Reading some of the policies it seems they charge you if you aren't making enough money but have a dormant account with a positive income. Does this mean if I don't make any money for a month or two, for example, they start charging? Not sure I trust this.

Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Chris

That seems a bit strange for them to charge you for not making any money... your an affiliate right not a vendor? They have a clear analytic report which shows sales, clicks for any given period... 7 days, 14 days, 30 days and so on?

You're right about the dormant account charges:

"Accounts with a positive balance but no earnings for an extended period of time are considered dormant. Dormant accounts are subject to a charge of $1 per pay period after 90 days of no earnings, $5 per pay period after 180 days of no earnings, and $50 per pay period after 365 days of no earnings."

I never knew that. Thanks for the info. I didn't really get an idea behind charging the Affiliates for not earning money though. It is really strange.

You're also going to be annoyed when you pass your payment threshold and they still haven't sent you your money because 5 seperate purchases by 5 different credit cards need to be made before they can send your money.

I found this atrocious and really gave them what for via email and they immediately lifted that restriction and sent my money :)

Ya just gotta be nice sometimes ;)

Other than that though, Clickbank are pretty good. They pay like clockwork and have never missed a payment for me.
