I'm owed £300 by a m limited company. If I take them to court, presumably I need to address summons to the address at companies house (which is a different address from where I did the job)?
But is it worth suing them? If I win will I be able to recover the money? I've heard you can only use private bailiff if debt is more than £600, and court bailiffs are useless.

As far as I'm aware you have to use the company's registered address, regardless of where the work was serviced.

As regards whether or not you will get paid, will depend on whether the company is solvent and a whole host of other factors.

The Court Enforcement Officers will be entitled to try and recover their costs you have paid to reimburse you, if they are able to repossess sufficient assets to cover those costs.

However...if they are unsuccessful then your debt will have increased...

What steps have you taken to get the company to pay so far? Why haven't they paid it?

Have you sent a late payment demand or letter before action?

There are legal services out there that will send with their name on the letterhead that can nudge people into action, however, you can just send them yourselves.

Walk in the shop and start making lots of noise. Even better, unplug the kit he hasn’t paid for.

You perhaps might wish to weigh up the time and irrecoverable costs of the action.
