I have a CCJ against a business. I have appointed a debt collecting agency to chase it as its unpaid.
The agency call them during business hours only.
The debtor has just sent a cease and desist email to the agent , saying he will accept written communication, but the phone calls are invading his privacy and they must stop or he will report it to the police as harassment.
Is debtor correct, or can agent contniue phoning him?

Not for you to get involved.

You have employed the DCA to get your money and they should know what to do!

Tell them if they pay up they won't have to deal with the unwanted calls...

Whilst it's unlikely to amount to harassment it's also unlikely to be an effective way of recovering the debt. If the debtor has ignored a CCJ he's hardly going to change his mind and cough up just as a result of a few irritating phone calls.

How much is the debt? Why aren't you taking enforcement action through the courts?
