Can anyone help choosing my business name?

Hi guys, I enjoy this site so much I have gained so much knowledge in the 5 days of registering here with you all being so knowledgeable.
So now Ive buttered you up lol, I would appreciate feed back on some business names that I short listed. My company is a service. I will be styling homes to acheive a much higher sale price than if it were not styled by a professional.. Ultimately I would like a name that encompasses what I am offering in my services, or that will make the audience think that a solution is there for them, but I want something catchy easy for them to spell and MEMORABLE!Here they are anyhow...see what you think..thank you very much for your time in advance...

Your name is not going to explain what you do, you will need a strap line as well as this is not a well established service in people's consciousness.

I would go with something like ...
Dressing your house for sale


and then a name to match
House Couture
House design guide/ or solutions (though they sound like an architect)
I did like Triple D, but not sure now.
Spick and Span
Impact design
Great impressions

Thank oyu so much for your feed back. This is my favourite one from the list, my Mum and Dad like it too. Maybe a bit too long though? I like the ideas of Christine Hough too, shorter name with a tag line, clever thanks guys

I do willfully agree that house design solutions/guide sounds like an architect now you say it. So thank you for your view on that name.
Triple D i was looking at because it sounds catchy, but I dont know. However, for the purpose of this exercise I like to remember what someone wise has told me in the last few days, your business name does not have to explain what you do, and she gave me examples of Amazon, Google..It is such a hard task..I really appreciate your expert input Do you own a business Christine, or did you.. as I like your thought process here! I set up Hofnote which provides music training exercises to help students prepare for the listening tests in music exams.
So I did not go with a name which has a meaning, but I also use the strapline
listen, understand, enjoy

We had already used Hofnote for a local music school and there was a reasonable Internet footprint. We have also registered the trade mark so it seemed sensible to use it.


Just thinking of the architectural slant, what about...
Elevation, Lifting your property in the marketplace

Christine I LOVE that! the name sounds good, as in elevations of a house, and the tag line encompasses the service! I will let you know, what I decide on for sure!
I see your logic with keeping hofnote as there was a reasonable internet footprint. Also the name resonates music I like your simplistic, honest tag line too!

Don't forget to check that you are not impinging on other companies and can get the domain names etc before settling on one.

Unfortunately ELEVATIONS is taken on .co.uk and .com. But I am so fond of it, aswel as tagline lifting your house in the market place they fit well together! I like the one word ELEVATION as it is strong, bold and the tag line describes it perfectly! DAMN, sorry but I was so happy with that! Will have to try to add something to it. I did try adding a couple of different words to it, however I think hte punch that was there disappears with the additional words, may be I should try a number as that would be shorter. The words i added were:
ELEVATION HOUSE
ELEVATION ELEMENTS,
both of which were available.
In design there are 6 Elements so I could add a number 6. ELEVATION6
or
thinking of how many walls there are in a room 4ELEVATIONS
or thinking of every room in the house
EVERY ELEVATION, lifting your house in the marketplace
You got me thinking along that line though, thank you

Anyone can come with any number of names, but it doesn't matter what we think (unless we are your target audience), what you like or what your parents think.

Come up with a name that reflects your brand and resonates with your target audience. So if you are going target AB1 young professionals working in creative industries as you are offering cutting edge makeovers in upmarket properties, you will come up with a different proposition then if you are targeting downsizers or low income families wanting budget solutions.

Think about your brand, how you position yourself in the market place, how your competition are branding themselves and then look at something like Marketing Donuts advice on brand and naming.

You could come up with something relating to your business say for example First Impressions - linked to the fact it takes seconds to make up your mind about a property, something aspirational, something modern etc

What's important is that it works for your target audience and your brand.

And don't forget to make sure it's available online.

thank you for spending time to look! I have heard that UK in my name can be unacceptable like Royal, as I was thinking of using this , i actually secured a domain UKcurbappeal.co.uk hence the change of business name..
May have to use a number, a good sleep and a fresh head on the matter tomorrow! ElEvAtIoN is a positive contender! You have provided your simple solution to something that I saw as a BIG task! So glad of your fresh angle on it! That all came from the architect angle you were talking about originally! Thanks again
