I agree - web marketing is the key. We work with clients on all aspects of web marketing - copywriting and structure to help the users find what they want; copywriting and tagging to ensure the search engines find you and take you to the right place; determining key words, competitor analysis, content and picture description; design amd images of the site to ensure it helps develop the right perception to the target audience; developing the site with the right call to action; and then the obvious web development aspects of coding, testing, tagging, etc. When you have done all this then obviously the website needs submitting and needs to be kept up to date with interesting live stories, content. In addition, a pay per click campaign may be appopriate. Your web site should be constantly anaylsed - where visits are landing, where pages are left, etc and monitored in ranking against the competition.
On-line marketing involves many of the aspects of traditional marketing, it is improtant to consider the competition and the potential customer - notjust the search engines.
So if anyone is interested in web marketing I would be happy to talk to them
