    Hi,

I am interested to hear the type of trade magazines Small business owners read.

For example, I read Marketing Week, Campaign, Marketing, PR Week and Press Gazette.

I am interested to see what other sectors people read about as well as seeing some of the more generalist management titles people look at.

By the way, this is for some PR I am planning for this forum, so "come on" (as Delia would say), "Lets be having you". :)

I tend to read very few trade magazines. I used to be a member of the CIPD and received regular fortnightly magazines. I hardly ever read these properly and have since ceased my membership as letters after my name do not interest me and it felt like a waste of money.

I agree with Mike, my own industry "trade" magazine is so boring I don't ever look at it.

I used to get Better Business, but don't now, I don't specifically get any , though I receive the FSB magazine and glance through that, and my other half brings home various local (regional Bus Link etc) business magazines which I look at.

Otherwise its newsletters by email and I get loads - don't all get read as they arrive though!

My own ezine goes out to the target market, but they're not all UK.

I used to read Internet Works before it closed, and I also get Better Business but not many others, apart from the occasional menswear magazine. Every now and then a Real Business and Growing Business arrives through the door which I glance through, but I find I don't have much time to read magazines even if I did get them.

Not strictly a trade magazine, but does give me tips and inspiration.

    Creative Arts.

Other than that I only ever read forums  or the occassional design book, currently Los Logos(lots of nice pictures  ).

I have to add that the Economist is not nearly as boring as it sounds. During my academic days this was a valuable source of information that managed to make the subject matter perfectly understandable.
