Buying from China

Hehe, Obviously, it's not easy to get a good life in China. People are just desperately trying every possible way to catch business. So, does it make any sense?:p

It does make sense i agree, but they go a bit too far.

I received an air shipped mail once. In it was a flyer from china with circuit breakers being advertised.

I had never seen anything like them, i would not be able to install those products in this country lol.

They need to pay more attention to finer detail and less spam.

Yes, It happens. Say China's market is still premature compared to Western world and we grow up and live in a totally different business environments. It may also be because of the education system and China traditions. Quite a lot of people(including myself) here just want to sell their products to everyone else without knowing if the products or service are going to benefit customers and what the customers want from them.

Don't worry too much,I believe most of Chinese suppliers is desiring long time business relathionship, and the competition is heavy now, they are uneasy to find a new client, they won't loose future cooperation which can earn much more money than first order,I am sure.

Hi,

An agent is a must for initial orders. You can then build a relationship with the seller and maybe after a while you can stop using the agent.
It's very tempting to think of the extra profit you can make without an agent but if you do take the gamble be sure you can absorb the potential loss.

We have a fantastic relationship with our printing facilities in China and Bangladesh.

Due dilligence and perseverance will find you an excellent supplier.

Keep at it.

China
As a chinese, frankly speaking the best is always have someone to check the goods before it is shipped. mostly the problems occured because of two factors:
1. bad management of the factory
2. communication problem because of the language diferrence which cause the misunderstanding

by the way, although I always tell my clients to pay by T/T, as my personal experience, the L/C payment will be much more safer, but this way of payment will influence the price for a little bit,

Hi, actually I am from Shenzhen, China. I am a international sales in a local compay. I really understand what you worry about. In Shenzhen, there are thousands of company, most of company is small, so if you want to get information through website is difficult. I am eager to give you our advice for your import business.

1. for Shenzhen Local companies, most of company always only accept T/T because few people know about another payment term such as L/C or D/P. If it's the first time to cooperate with your new supplier, you can give them trial order in advance, after two or three times cooperation, you will have lots of idea about the suppliers. if the supplier is good, you can further the cooperation step by step.

2. If you begin the first case, something would be formal. I means you have to spend lots of time to figure out your exact requirement, such as quality demand, gift box, LOGO size and printing, package. and ask your supplier to supply the samples picture or real samples to let you confirmation. If the supplier is a professional of company for oversea business, they will give you complete and patient service.

3. If you want to broaden your business in China, the best choice is to find an honest agent in China. Because some Western People would be difficult to keep good in touch with traditional Chinese business people.
of course you need to send lots of time to establish long-term and reliable cooperation with each other.

4. last but not least, SZ is Chinese developed zone, most of people could be reliable, and of course you should be patient to try to begin your business. give yourself confidence, and keep patience. you will be success.

If any question about Chinese business, just contact with me, I will give you advice soon.

Good luck for you~!

There is a product I am interested in shipping over from China, but as I have never done this before I am a little worried.

The company is sz-wholesale has anybody dealt with or heard about this company? The reviews on the internet don't sound very good plus they only accept T/T payment or Western Union which also makes me very wary. Should I just forget about it?

For the new importer in China or just start cooperation with new supplier in China, suggest you use third party inspection company to help you reduce you import risks. If you employ a third-party independent inspection entity, problems will be identified and prevented at source, prior to shipment and possibly during production. In your absence, we can monitor the entire quality related process.

If you need more information from us, you can contact me. I am Jolin, my email address is market06 at hqts dot com.

Hi, I saw this message late, since I'm a chinese doing trade business, I'd like to show my opinion.

It is not easy to get foreign customer' trust only through website.
But you can get more information through further contact, view their details, and find whether this sales worth trust and whether they stand on customer's demand.

Our experience is, if product is very cheap than other same Chinese supplier, need to further check.

No i did not listen before about this company but i can advise you according to my business experience. First of all for a security purpose check out their records from banks where they contain their transactions of money. Than you can demand their company`s license copy or any legal document to confirm that is this really a registered company? By doing so, i hope you can safe from any loss and than you can continue your business with them.

Best Regards

It is interesting reading all the comments above.
The Problems - distance / reliability / product quality / trust.

The Solution - We already import to 2 continents and are just beginning to import to the UK. We have been in China for 5 yrs building relationships, we speak Mandarin, we provide good quality of service, provide samples, bespoke, we know, unlike other UK agencies, we are consistently good.

don't worry about it, usually in China, the products from small firm is very cheap but quality is same as big company(becasue some big compay manufacture same products in small firm), and for small firm payment is imporntant so most of them ask deposit.usually you can accept 30% deposit in advance and balance after shipment, before shipment you can ask them to send some picturefor you reference.

Yes finding a a buying agent, it is good. But" I generally pay $1-150 per investigation," I think it is too much to do er investigation for small order.
If you are not sure, why not to put a small order, after you get items. You will have
your idea to go on or not....if the small order is cheated, so stop buying again.

Actually many suppliers they cherish their customers.
