About to launch a new product promoting a business bluetooth marketing tool.

Whilst we have a website www (dot) blue250 (dot) com I was wondering how many members of the UKBF community see value in this type of marketing and even relevant experiences?.

Thanks in advance
Ian

Hi

This is something I've been thinking about for ages. I just don't know whether it would be perceived as spam. I've also had wildly conflicting reports on the effective distance that this works on.

Best of luck with it. I'll be looking at it more closely.

I can see it's use in certain areas, such as bars, nightclubs etc, but in the past most people on the forum considered this to be a spammy type service.

As MH1 says maybe for clubbers when they are out or target those that are in a specific area for a specific reason *maybe* but otherwise its a tinned meat bonanza and previous threads on here the general consensus here is that it would just get people's backs up.

this is an area we have recently worked in and found it to be a great success with, I believe, most of this being down to encouraging users to turn their bluetooth on first

check out the latest two stories on our blog for more information and to download a demo app:
