Best software/app for payroll, booking & accounts

I am looking to deal with these myself now and was wondering what is the best software or app that will allow me to do my accounts, organise payroll with payslips and help with book keeping.

I would recommend Brightpay for payroll, and it is free for up to 3 employees. If you have more than 3 employees, then Moneysofy Payroll Manager is also good. Both have free trial periods, but watch Brightpay as you get locked out at the end of the trial period and can't access the previos data.

I disagree with that. Some of the accounts packages have payroll systems that work for the accounts packages, rather than working for an employer dealing with employees. As a biased contributor, you may also want to consider outsourcing both PAYE and CIS.

I use Wave. Not the most complex software but if you are starting up its free and easy to use

@Darren McNiven what sort of business do you run, and do you need the software/system to do anything specific - for example are you VAT registered using a specific scheme, do you need to send invoices via the software etc?

Also how many employees do you have?

Xero, Wave, Zoho Books, Gusto, Zoho Books are some of the best software for payroll.

Sadly not in the UK
