Hey everyone

I have been searching for hours now about what rules I have to comply with when importing baby clothes from china,

I have found out the seller I want to buy from has a SGS Certificate. Also complies with the fire regulation by having Keep away from fire on the clothes.

How can I find the list i need to comply with ?
Thank you

kieran

The areas you need to pay attention to for baby clothes (0-12 months) include, but not limited to the following:

    1. Fabric

    2. Fabric dyes

    3. Printing

    4. Embroidery

    5. Poppers/Zippers

    6. Flammable fabric

    7. Synthetic fibres

    8. Other embellishments

    9. Label requirements

    10. Packaging

As a guide Oeko-Tex are generally accepted as the foremost in fabric testing certificates.

SGS certificates (from China) need to be verified and should have clearly marked the product, style number, dimensions and photos on the certificates. There are many fakes that suppliers will provide.

Don't take any chances with baby clothes.
