Hi all,
My mum has ran her own business for the past 15 years and certainly for the last 10 has been very successful (to her standards). She is regularly booked solid 4-6 months in advance, has a large cancellation list for people waiting for appointments.......
However she still does all the work herself and has no interest, whatsoever, in taking on employees and growing her business. The business can only be as busy as the amount of work she can do herself. I dont understand this and dont know why she wouldn't want to grow...but thats her choice. I could understand if she had time left for herself but she works incredibly hard regularly 9am to 9pm and then still has to organise appointments, do her bookwork, get supplies, etc.
So I guess I wanted to know what the rest of you aim to do, grow or stay small? And why?
Did you start your business with aspirations to grow big with lots of employees and multiple locations or did you start it to receive a nice income etc?
Just interested
Thanks
