anyone tried ecademy

i know a few people having been giving tips on feedback on networking but i am curious about peoples comments on ecademy on its own

i have just joined and need to know if it is something i should be investing time in. it looks the part but like anything, other peoples experiences count for so much more!!!

They've been two fairly long threads ablut this recently. Do a search and have a read.

I think the majority of people said it was shi*te (over complicated, touchy feely, takes up too much time, hard to learn how to "work" the system), with a handful saying it was great.

Guess which camp I'm in : )

Theres alot of annoying ecademists who all reply with the same answer 'If theres anything I can help you with or someone I can put you in touch with let me know' .

BEWARE - they don't actually mean this. No seriously they don't really mean this. I've tried polite requests and hadcore, straight up requests!!!

They say they 'connect business people' but UKBF does that for free and you can really get to know some people.


The might love you more if you upgrade. :wink:

 

What a load of rubbish, all kiss ass and almost pyramid structured in that there are people who are regualrs, and when i mean regulars i mean they are never off the bloody thing. Where do they get the time to do business?

Ecadaver™ has it's down sides though. And it's fair share of spamming marketeers.

I've been a member since 2003, but haven't frequented the site until recently.

My membership fee has been paid times over with the members who have signed up for my services, the majority of members appear to be involved in marketing, coaching, IT etc.

Like eagle has mentioned the downside is spam from established members, and I've yet to gain any real knowledge from it's members, in comparison to what I've learnt in a short time on here.

Ecademy works for me, and i have colleagues who can really make their system sing.

Mind you, there are some members who seem to be on a different plane, not alone in that though is it?

However there are some things ecademy can help you achieve which are just mind blowing.

In all, I'd give it a thumbs up.

Right, if you want to be successful on ecademy there IS a way. Spamming the members will get you blackballed faster than you can say inkjet, but there's no need to do that if you can identify how to work the system.

Go to ecademy and seek out a man called Fraser Hay. He's done it in a way few others have been able to achieve. Take a look at what he's done. A really good look...

You need to give a little of yourself to all these sites if you want to get something back.

I have been a member for a while. I only pay £20/year and I think it is worth it to use the blogs etc. I have made some very useful contacts on Ecademy. The thing is with Ecademy is that you have to keep logging on so your profile is visited more.

The more blogs the better, now for £20/year, thats not bad but I dont visit there all the time for a chat!

Would I upgrade? No, but I would renew.

I've used Ecademy for a while and have found it quite useful and can account several thousand pounds worth of business through it.

I also use testimonials received from other ecademy members when quoting for new business which has been very successful lately

It takes time to establish relationships, I think you just need to get the ball rolling.

I joined Ecademy initially as a free member and then I had to upgrade to next level of membership - no more luxury of being a free member allowed. I do not think that it is worth time and money investing in it. I have, therefore, cancelled my membership. It is quite complicated system i.e. different level of access to the system with different level of membership. UKFB is much open and accessible. So do not waste your month and time.

Patience has now paid off - I have made some good quality contacts on Ecademy from my £20/year membership. I have made contacts with people I would not normally make contact with and that includes other lawyers!

I have also made contact with a marketing expert that specialises in marketing law firms/legal services
