Hi all,

Just trying to get a ballpark figure on how much a restaurant fit out would cost, anyone fitted out their own restaurant and is willing to put out their expenditure and possible link to what the premises looks like so i can understand the fit out standard vs cost. of course this is all ballpark.

Regards

I haven’t fitted one out, but I have funded fit-outs [lots of them) and it really is a piece of string question

If you are acquiring purpose built premises anE just spacing up you can get away with shabby chic for just a few grand

On the other hand, if you are starting with a shell and going for a strong theme, you can easily be talking half a million plus

Commercial kitchens don’t come cheap!

This!

Nisbets have some on-line help and suggestion pages https://www.nisbets.co.uk/how-to-start-a-catering-business
and somewhere on their website, there are typical layout plans.

If you are starting from scratch with a bare shop that has to receive everything, from three-phase to air con, you can roughly go with £1,000 to £2,000 per cover, but that is a very, very rough guide! If you are able to DIY everything, you might be able to go under £1,000. If you want a top-notch restaurant and you commission all works, £2,000 minimum.
