Alternative Trade Fairs

As I start putting my "to do list for 2012" together, I know that I'll be heading to the Canton Fair 112th in China for my annual visit. My clients mainly import to the UK, but I won't get into the details of the product at this point - Let's just say it's luxury home products

To cut a long story short, I wanted to ask others on these forums of other trade fairs that are worth visiting around the world - ones that they've been to.

Do you recommend any in Europe or other parts of Asia... Vietnam perhaps?

Hi,

You can always consider the HK Gifts & Premium Fair. You will find plenty of new products there and its around the same time as Canton Fair so you could attend Canton fair and then take a 2 hour train from Guangzhou to Hong Kong to attend this.

And do drop us a shout, if you need any help in Guangzhou during the Canton Fair. We are all gearing up for it

For any luxury home products head to either Germany (Berlin), where they used to host a very good exhibition.

There is also a good one in Bangkok, that has many unusual manufacturers exhibiting hand crafted and unusual goods.

For innovation, Italy must always be a must.

There is also a good exhibition for Home products in January in Paris.

Ultimately though, you will go back to China, that's where virtually everything will end up being made.
