Hi All

I've been searching for a large trade fair to visit this year, maybe China and Japan. I found a few but none seem to have many exhibitors. Any recommendations would be very much appreciated.

Thank you in advance Tony

Not China or Japan, but Nuremburg Toy Fair is usually big, so is Embedded World, SPS Drives Show.

You might get better answers if you give some hints as to what trade segments you are interested in.

The Spring Fair at the NEC 4th-7th February 24

Retail’s definitive wholesale shopping destination!

As the UK's most popular and diverse marketplace for Home, Gift, Fashion and Everyday products, Spring Fair brings the people of the retail industry together so they can discover the latest products and trends.

Trade fair for what?

Not sure about nowerdays, but the old Canton Fair in Guangdong became so big, they split it into 2 events of 2 weeks each!

Thank you for the replies, much appreciated. TBH, I'm not sure what I'm looking to purchase until I see it.

Canton fair is split into 3 stages, each lasting 5 days each.

There are 17 halls for each stage, so you’ll not have time to visit every hall.

Select the categories you are interested in and just focus on those halls.

If you’re looking to import container loads, then this is probably the best fair to attend, as the amount of categories and products is by far the biggest selection than any individual fair there is.

If you have a specific category, then there are specialised fairs in China, Hong Kong and globally, but as most factories for consumer products are located in China, that’s where I would suggest to start, as long as your order quantities are viable.

If your orders are small, say a retailer, then start with the Spring or Autumn fairs at the NEC.

It’s been in 3 stages since it moved to the Pazhou complex 20 odd years ago.

It’s huge and realistically you want to concentrate on 4 halls max per day, to take in everything. Any more, you’ll be walking like a zombie!

Dates are fixed for each stage for both April/May & October/November fairs.

Stage 1. 15th to 19th
Stage 2. 23rd to 27th
Stage 3. 1st to 5th
