For over 35 years I worked with my Father, in our family business. Unfortunately, he died a couple of years back and I took the business on with my two sisters as Partners. The Partnership was an equal one between myself and my sisters and it went well in the beginning, but they played no part in the day-to-day running of the business. I was, financially, a third of the partnership and was given a salary of £450.00 per week, approved by my Father before his death. However, my Sisters didn't like the financial arrangement, but that was agreed when he was alive.
My Sisters were each given a share of the business. Since then they have tried to overturn my Father's wishes, as they had no part in the day-to-day running of the firm. However, they started to
realise that my wages, agreed by my Father, were quite a lot more than the money from their income from the shares, and they demanded that I had a to take a pay cut. My case is that my wages were given to me by Father, and were my sole income, and they wanted me to take a pay cut. Am I correct in that they have no right to take my wages from me? Thank you.
