So, I've got an eCommerce store running Google Ads etc. Thought I'd try a Facebook Advantage+ Shopping campaign but can't seem to get it to work at all.

Set it up for Black Friday, but it was stuck in the 'Preparing' status for 3 days. When it became active, it delivered zero impressions, no clicks, no data. The budget was set to £10 per day.

On Thursday , I upped the budget to £20 per day, no goal budget etc, just wide open to all UK audience. It was in the preparing status until yesterday afternoon and still, no impressions, no clicks nothing.

What could the problem be? There are no errors, the product catalogue is linked and correct, the tracking pixel is working. Heading in to the 3rd week with nothing coming through? Boosting posts works fine, there's no account or billing issues. Confused!

I am no expert but what does FB say you are going to get for £10 / £20 pound , to be honest doesn't sound like they are going to give you much of a "reach" Plus there will be a lot of people spending huge sums at present what with BF and the run up to Christmas so you could just be swamped out

Is it possible nobody sees your adverts because all your competitors are paying more. Or your products don’t match with feed preferences.

Well, I thought the budget might be quite small but then I keep seeing our competitors popping up and they're literally one man bands. We're not competing with high street retailers or brands etc, just other small businesses who sell similar products.

So, I set up a fresh manual FB shopping account yesterday and voila! We have impressions and a click at 36p, it's a start with a £5 per day budget.

However, whilst scrolling through Instagram last night I happened upon our ads and it's using our old product photos  from 2 years ago. Great. It's ignoring all the product data sent through the Shopify API and is just blindly advertising an ad about our 2022 summer sale.

In Media Library, I can see the old creatives but cannot delete them. It just says 'Image Deletion Error' and you can only delete one image at a time anyway, you can't bulk delete all last years promotions. It's dragged in every image we've ever posted to FB or Instagram, hundreds of them.....I give up :D
