Hi all...

I have a friend who has an Ebay store and we are trying to add a Google adwords conversion code to the page.

I've only ever dealt with people who own their own websites and have access to their sites code, so I can add the code in.... but on surface, I'm wondering if it's possible at all with an ebay store? As in effect they aren't the site owner.

The checkout area, takes you to a success/session ID within a checkout.ebay.co.uk URL.

Anyone had any dealings with this before and know if it can be done.

Cheers :)

Can't be done. Ebay will strip out anything they don't like. So any sort of scripting will get blocked

I agree with the above - I did a bit of Googling just to see if things have changed but it's not permitted on the checkout. You may be able to past it in the adverts by using HTML and the GA Code BUT I think it would break their terms and may just get stripped out!

Sorry for delay in my response guys... Thank you all for you replies, I assumed as much - you can edit what you don't own I guess.

Perhaps a re-direct to a thank you page would've been a better option but again, can you do this? Probably not. :(
