Sounds like an opportunity for other businesses to move into these shops.
Unless there isn't sufficient demand to cover the cost?

Thats the attitude - always be looking for that opportunity

Except I think the message is a bit that you will be pissing into the wind

If you can get a good rent deal which the old tenants could not then fine and maybe someone can make it work

But there is a cold wind blowing through the retail sector at the moment

Been hearing that for a couple of decades.

Whether its correct on a macro as well as micro scale is more open to question.

Well I meant the B&M sector - as opposed to retail

And then it depends what B&M sector you are talking about

But if you go around a lot of towns the traditional town centre and secondary locations are in big trouble

But the out of town sheds are often okay

And as always it all depends
