Hi
Quite a few minutes into a telephone call I had reason to suspect and furthermore asked a recruitment agent if he was recording the call. Although denied, I had sensed previously he records all of his calls for reasons I wont go into. While denying he recorded it (and I think it fair to assume I mean with an electronic device or phone app), he stated he was not but his PA was listening to it and making notes. I have no evidence of that or to the contrary. According to Oftel it seems there could be legitimacy behind his reason for making the recording - e.g. to do with compliance.
In her first letter, his solicitor denied her client had recorded the conversation or any conversations between me and him.
In her second letter, I was surprised she stated her client had actually recorded the call and that he had told me so. Not exactly true.
What I find confusing is the significance of his denial of recording it, when actually he was (according to his solicitor) but instead announced a third party was monitoring it per his claim sometime into the call.
Any comments?
Thanks in advance
