But If you notice, you will see that they ain't doing as well as they did when i was there. (all complaints are of late)
Also you will see that my ex boss tried to do a post in my name praising himself. (sad) he was bit insultive to.

I have to disagree. I personally (on my own site too) use a simple snipit of text from Wikipedia which I use to simply explain to people what SEO is - this explains better than any SEO or marketing company could and is used to explain, in simple terms, to people who may not know exactly what SEO is, exactly what SEO is. If this is wrong then so be it, but there are far too many people out there (naming no names) that are too far up their own backsides to know when someone is simply trying to help, and instead of a simple PM, or better still keeping quiet, they would rather post negative comments to down people in the hope that it makes themselves look better.

If you put information on your website then dont give the original person credit then you are committing plagiarism or being shady as i put it, And in my opinion are playing on the naivety of the client.

I'm not getting in to an arguement with you, but I am legit, and above board, and I will discuss my business with all my potential clients, none of which have been dissapointed in my services. Please don't diminish my good name any more, and if you are going to pick points against my business then I suggest you do your research first. I've had great success outsourcing to India, and so have very many others. Given the rising costs of doing business in Britain (because of minimum wage, endless regulation, and ridiculous entitlements), it makes perfect sense to outsource some types of work.

You made the comment as something of a slur on India. Let me just point out that companies that cut their costs sensibly will survive at the expense of those who continue to do business the same old way, charging their customers more and more for the privilege.

Nothing wrong with the professional companies, i can agree with you there. I thing his comment was reffering to the low cost and not as an insult. There are more people with degrees in india that the whole population of the uk.
I think that you forget to mention that if there is an issue, (and this is the main problem) who wants to travel alllll the way to india to try and get a refund.
Same laws do not apply there. for example try and prosecute someone in india for copying your content. you might as well look for elvis

If you look into it in a little more detail they also charge a £100 set up fee, so not quite as cheap as it first appears. Also, this package they are offering is really just the basics (i.e. the bit people can learn themselves!) Their other, more comprehensive SEO package is £349/month +VAT plus the £100 set up fee.

But I would agree with the comment made overall. I'm in the process of learning SEO at the moment, and there is a lot more to it (in terms of hours and knowledge!) than a lot of people seem to think, and than I thought when I started!

On that note, if anyone has knowledge of good SEO courses please pass them on to me! (sorry for going slightly off topic there)

This is total nonsense...

1. There is lots of PLR content out there which people use as is.
2. There are plenty of ready made websites - 'business in a box' - which are sold.
3. There are plenty of courses which include duplicate content.

Do a search on this - is this because everyone is plagiarising? No it's part of SEM Business Blueprint and buyers of that package are licensed to use it... Does this make them poor SEO's - Who knows? But it's certainly no way to judge someone's abilities. At least they made an effort to buy a course... Would you judge a car mechanic on the basis of his advertising - I certainly know a few who are top class mechanics, but their public interface needs a lot of work!

Adding my name just made him feel better, also made another of his clients call me today. Like everyone said "passing the buck"

As for Adrac ltd my department has been created and we have a 100% record so far for SEO.
New website nearly finished. (Been too busy with clients websites)

I fully agree with you Ali on this one, most SEO experts almost never write the content themselves (and they shouldn't) for a number of reasons:

1 - It takes far too much time.
2 - Most are probably not good copy writers.

It's a much better and more effective approach to hire copywriters to write the content, so I would leave it to the experts (who enjoy writing) to do so.

The SEO expert would simply guide the writers in this case by providing them with the target keywords to use and then make sure they follow specific SEO guidelines such as keyword density, internal links, HTML tags etc...

That's what I've always done and it works perfectly.

Spot on

The sooner managers learn to delegate tasks the quicker they will see (good) results. This will also allow them to focus on their area of specialty and dedicate more time to it, which will bring them a step closer to achieving the "expert" status, which doesn't come easy or quickly (and it shouldn't).

The expert status is being able to figure all issues that cause a website problems in all formats. Mastering html seo is not the same as dynamic websites or flash websites.
