thread titles and google

Just wanted to point out that if you are posting a new thread and want it exposed to the general public as well as UKBF members choose your title carefully.

As an example recent post was about GAP 's use of child labour.

Title was "GAP caught using child labour" not very likely to be seached by the general public.

where as if the title had been "GAP and child labour " would generate far more traffic.

I recently had someone start a thread titled "I am ill". Ever since that happened I've been No1 on google.com and co.uk for "I am ill forum". It's not exactly the sort of traffic I was after, but at least I'm now No1 for something. :p

It is worth bearing in mind that Google can index and flush posts from UKBF quicker than you can blink, so if your business image is precious its always worth thinking twice before posting.

Ray's made a point there ,If you are going to post anything that you would rather your customers or whoever did not come across be very carefull how you title a thread.
