Dongle internet

Hi Peeps,

I have been wondering what people think about mobile internet.
More and more people are using dongles to browse the net.
Me personally think the are a waste of time but then again part of me can see the advantages.
The thing is more people are signing up to Pay as you go internet.

Should we now look at low tech sites to accomodate this.

I'm looking into a search engine strictly for mobile search that will only list site that wont eat up your bandwidth.

worth a thought?

I use a dongle when im out and about and it works fine i can see sites rtc and its very good no diffrence to broadband apart from speed
it isnt pay as you go either.

Are you not suggesting wap (mobile fone internet ) as ive heard people talking about sites just for that purpose !

as dongles give you the same sites as broadband as i said earlier 1

the wap service give a lite version of the website.
I am sure that some services give a good service but for what i have seen they take ages to load a page.
What i was thinking was a website that you used to searh for low badnwidth using websites.

I use a HSDPA dongle for the laptop through the three network. I can get a decent 3.6MBs speed through it in most areas which is actually better than most peoples hard wired connections

I have Vodofone and 3 dongles.

Normaly the service is barely indistinguishable from my domestic broadband.

I've got a 3 mobile broadband one and it appears to work everywhere except my house where it's pants. When it is working though it works just as well as most broadbands, although ithere is obviously a download limit to worry about browsing sites use so little I don't think I would bother looking for chopped down sites to stretch it out, it's dowloading files that will eat it up or streaming TV.
