But anyone wanna buy a car???!
I've had this on ebay twice - it did sell once, but the bloke wanted an automatic not a manual - I wish he had just asked. It's been in Auto Trader 3 times, local paper once, and local free paper three times.
The car's sound - it's the time of year that's preventing it from selling.
Anyway, here's the description that I put on ebay:
About The Car:
Let me tell you about the car. Technicall, the car is grey. Nissan called it Tornado Grey. But to you and me, its green. Metallic green. Everyone who sees it says its green, apart from the odd few who will insist that its blue, but theyre just weird.
Okay, now for the really interesting stuff.
It hasnt yet hit 86,000 miles, its slightly below that - the exact figure is just over the 85,300 mark.
Why Am I Selling It?
Probably the most important question any buyer wants to know. And heres the answer: To get a smaller car. My wifes learning to drive (Im sick of taxi-ing people around everywhere), so she told me if I want her to drive, we need to get a smaller car. So we got a Fiesta. And now we need to sell the Almera. (Ironically, after we bought the Fiesta, she said she would be sad to see the Almera go. Typical.) The cars sound, never let me down, apart from when I needed a new battery in February 06. AA reckoned it was the original battery in there, so I got a new one, whichll probably outlive me. Always started in winter, always started when we got back from holiday, always started.
Service History:
The car has got service history right up until 47,000 miles which is when I took ownership of the car. At the time, I didnt realise the importance of Full Service History, so when I got it serviced, I didnt get it stamped. The first time I got it serviced, the bloke offered to stamp it, but I didnt have the book in the car, so I said Id pop it in, but I didnt. Then he upped and went to Spain permanently. Since then, Ive had it serviced by my dad, who knows how to service cars, him being a mechanic and all that.
I got the Airflow Sensor replaced in April 2007, which was stopping the turbo from activating as soon as I pulled up to the garage and told the bloke the turbo wasnt working, he knew what the problem was without opening the bonnet. Apparently its a common problem on Nissans, Vauxhalls and VWs.
Ive got the MOT from Feb 05 06, Feb 06 07, and Feb 07-08.
The Car:
The cars got plenty of cubby holes so this is going to be quite extensive. Ill start at the beginning and work my way back. In the front, theres the obligatory sunvisor for driver and passenger, with vanity mirror and two lights built into the visor (two lights EACH!). Theres also two map reading lights in the ceiling at the front of the car. Working down vertically, theres a cigarette lighter (not a smoker myself, so no smokey in car smell), twin cup holder that springs out of hiding, a small concealed compartment with coin holder, and a centre console thats divided into two compartments. Moving towards the rear, theres a 12v power source for rear travellers, ash tray, centre armrest with twin cupholders and secret compartment and twin ceiling mounted lights with individual switches.
The boot is massive, with side netted cargo compartments, room for massive suitcases and adequate space for a wheelchair/pushchair. Its got a full size spare wheel (never used), not one of them only do 30 miles useless pieces of rubber.
Ive got the owners manual, service manual, and 2 keys with built in immobiliser.
The cars fantastically economical. I generally get around 40mpg in and around town, and obviously more when motorway driving. To give you an idea, when I go down to London, I fill the tank (approx 50 litres). I drive from Sunderland to London, spend a few days pottering in and around London, and as I pull up at my front door, the fuel light comes on, at around 620 miles. Nice. Very nice.
The 2.2 litre engine pulls the car along nicely for motorway driving, and cruises at about 2000rpms at 70 in fifth gear. For pottering around town its great aswell. Its a smooth ride, the power steering makes is a light car and breeze to drive. Ive always enjoyed driving it, and Im sure you will too.
Things to Note:
There is a spot of rust above the front driver side wheel arch. I dont know how to deal with rust, so Ive just left it. Theres also a scratch on the driver door some kid got too close on his bike when the car was parked up, and his handlebar caught the door its less than two centimetres and not deep, but I thought Id mention it.
Payment Terms:

If it doesn't sell by xmas, I'm taking it down to London to my dad's garage, where it'll sell.
