We are about to launch a new website which allows you to earn moneyback on all your online purchases and donate to a charity of your choice at the same time.

The site will give you access to 500+ online retailers, including many high street names.

Is this something you would be interested in using?

Hi Mark

Yes definitely. There are a few similar sites around, but I don't think any of them donate to charity.
Good luck with it.

Hi Vicky,

How did you find our URL...?

We are not launched yet! and have not told anyone the domain!

Because the logo was debated by users of this forum!

I hope I haven't let the cat out of the bag :-/ I didn't realise it was one in the same or that it was a secret.

lol, no worries Vicky.

Back to the question...

If you could earn moneyback on all your online purchases (including some business purchases) and donate to a charity of your choice at the same time at no cost to you. would you do it and use it?

Well the least I can do is answer your question, Mark ;-)

Seems like a no-brainer to me. It's the sort of thing I would do anyway, even if there was a cost for me, but if there was no cost at all, why would anyone not?

Yes, Vicky thanks.

Well I guess the only thing needed from the user / customer is spending the time to use our sites and choose which charity or local fundraiser will get the donation.

Hi Mark,
Looks like you've come up with a version of cashstore.fr that was posted on these forums in May. Well done I do like the idea of donating to a charity
I'm sure it will work well as long as you can sign up retailers
Good Luck

I assume you are talking about a similiar scheme to quidco etc where quidco is a an affiliate of a lot of online companies and then gives some or all of the referal fee back... just with yours some or all of it goes to a charity instead?

Yes, we will give a % cashback to the user who makes a purchase using the online retailers listed and make a donation to charity for every sale, then the user gets the option to choose which charity they want to support with their donation and have the option to give some or all of the cashback they have earnt to their favourite charity or local fundraiser.

I have been interested in these... a lot of the affiliates on the likes of quidco are done through tradedoubler but looking at quidco they appear to be giving 100% of the money back unless they have managed to get a unilateral increase in affiliate funds... eg Lloyds insurance is currently giving £110 for motor sales to affiliates as is quidco is giving to its subscribers. None of our affiliates are part of these schemes yet so cant say how/ what they're doing.

Certainly sounds a reasonable idea... not sure how you will fair against the sites that give a flat larger sum out but I dont think this market appears to have become saturated yet.

Buyat is a long established place. You can set up a page specifically for your group and I think you can then choose relevant merchants to appear on it - so a kids group could have kids stores for instance.

As for the cashback sites - I'm a member of and a merchant at Greaseypalm. I never remember to shop through my links there.

Hi - let me take this opportunity to introduce myself as the other partner in this business along with Mark. Vicky R, it was me who put up the logos/name, so thanks to everyone for helping us to choose. Mike, thanks for asking the difference about us and buy.at, here are just a few differences between us:

* Buy.at only list their own limited range of retailers (their site quotes "There are over 100 retailers involved") - we will be listing from all networks and therefore have a wider range of retailers (600+).

* We give members the incentive to use our site, by allowing them to earn cashback for themselves as well as with every purchase, a donation is made to their favourite charity.

* The member can withdraw all their cashback and will also have an option to donate part or all of this money to their chosen cause.

* Each charity/good cause will have the option to have their own mini site - this will be run by our internal admin, all the fundraiser will need to do is promote it using their unique URL.

* We are not just about charities. We welcome any type of fundraising activity - local or national, individual or group. (I know buy.at allow this too - but just wanted to make it known).

There are alot more positives to the site, and if you are interested in finding out more, then please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thanks Nicola

You missed out that buyat is also it's own affiliate network.

Anyhoo, I'm unimpressed with this kind of site to be honest and would be quite surprised if it was a success. I know Malcolm at buyat is concentrating on his affiliate network rather than the original giving to charity side which he has been doing for years.
