I supply products (non-food, non-confectionery) to convenience stores, newsagents, petrol stations etc on a sale or return basis as a franchise and am self-employed. The franchisor has said it is up to franchisees if they carry on or not, but they are operating as normal, and our shops would appreciate us continuing to supply them, and it would protect our space in stores. We spend a minimum of 20 minutes in store but more often a lot longer and don’t have access to hand washing facilities as we are out on the road. I stopped working 10 days ago as I don’t feel it’s responsible/safe to continue but they are implying that other franchisees are still going out. Just wondered what others thoughts are?
