Working from home and expenses

Could anyone tell me what expenses I can put in my account when I am working from home?

How much Gas and Electric can I claim?
Boardband and telephone calls?
Food and drink?

What things can I claim for and at what percentage?

If you are self employed you can't claim for food and drink.

If you wish to claim more that £4 per week you will need to include the sum received on your personal income tax return. There will be no profit as the rent will equal the costs incurred.

Just had a read of the link and im a little baffled lol. I and the misses work from home we use the computer in the kitchen to do accounts and sell goods. We also use the kitchen for making and packing our products.

So I should claim upto £4 a week for Gas, Electric food etc and leave it at that to keep things simple.
