Win 7, IE 9. Cant load some sites.

Hi

I am new to win 7 and then IE9 on top. My old computer can still load these sites but my new one simply says page not displayed.

Now, if I log into my vidahost account, until there it works absolutely fine, but when I actually click to be transferred to my domain cPanel, it says page cannot be displayed.

I also have another hosting in which everything works fine.

I can log into my cPanel from my old computer which is chrome 10 on win xp.

This computer came with mcafee if that has anything to do with it? If so then anybody with mcafee trying to visit my site will see the page not displayed error?

Finall got access.

Anybody who lands from google:

a. Click McAfee, web and email protection drawer, and net guard and edit the blocked ip and allow.

Job done, why was it the only site blocked always remains a mystery.

A better fix is to open control panel, click programs and features, highlight McAfee and select "uninstall".

Once done, install a "proper" anti virus program (AVG/Avast/Kasperky/NOD32 etc)

You missed Microsoft Security Essentials. Free, good and doesn't cripple the PC. Highly recommended.

Yes, it is good - although depends on who the end user is.

You can only use it free on up to 10 PC's for small business use. Any more and it's a breach of the licence. (http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/security_essentials/eula.aspx)

We use Kespersky Business Anti Virus with central admin for our network, and Microsoft Security Essentials for our Demo Equipment.

Your local f/wall on the machine is blocking your access - have you opened the necessary ports to access your control panel (for cpanel 2080-2099) ?

I am now on the new server with a new IP address, the old one was listed as malicious at McAfee.
