Whatever happened to?

Back in the day in a previous carreer, I was very active on here. We had a digital printing company and sold an awful lot of canvas prints- this was about 2004/5 I think. There were two very active members on here SirEarl I believe was one, Estwig, Vanmann I think to name a couple.
I see Fiscix is still here.
These folk are bordering on 20 years on here nearly!!o_O

SirEarl was active when I started - he has retired from the forum now, I believe!

A few of the earlier 'big names' have moved on. But not all!

I worry about that term moved on Paul .
Would this be prison or worse ? :):):)

I remember SirEarl, Estwig, Elaine, and I don't think anyone who knows him would ever forget Old Welsh Guy. I do also remember cjd, Tin / Ray, and keep up to date with what 10Yetis is up to today. I'm still in touch with Duane Jackson and like to keep up with Mark Pearson who both started their road to fame and fortune on here many years ago.

    Remember ‘internetspaceships’, ‘Beachcomber’, ‘Consistency’?

I liked internetspaceships, though e did get barred quite a lot.

SirEarl was unusual - I always imaginged him chuckling as he threw in little bombs to wind people up.

I seem to recall several of them left to set up a competitor forum - no idea if that actually took off?

They did, yes. It seemed to revolve around a former member (Faeries or something?) who had accused moderators / forum management of making personal threats.

Things used to get VERY heated in ‘Time Out’, and it was generally quite good entertainment value on a Saturday night.

At that time if you remember, you could see which forum members were currently viewing a thread so you could have much better ‘real time’ debates.

But then, one by one, the slightly more controversial members were removed and it all became a bit beige.
