Faerie B

C

Consistency

I am absolutely shocked to see Faerie B banned. I cannot for the life of me think what this poster who is very inoffensive could have done to have warranted this.

She was one of the very few breaths of fresh air on here. Fun, sincere, genuine and caring.

We have lost some decent people on here, This and That who knows I still miss him, Saxondale, Dr. Pepper, Mike Davies, Dancing with Poodles and more.

I know we are not allowed to discuss infractions etc but I do think we should be allowed to. We get to know friends on here and this is supposed to be a community. What kind of community is it, when neighbours are evicted without so much of a wish you well or a goodbye.

I think this is terrible. Not as catastrophical as things to come, but in terms of this forum, it is absolutely terrible.

Naturally I do not know what caused her to be banned so perhaps I am jumping the gun, but I have got to know her character and I find her genuine. I feel quite baffled.

Faerie B,if you are looking in my friend, good luck and stay well. You know where you can find me and I am sure you have other friends on here too who have you in their thoughts.

A good heart these days is hard to find. There was one. This and that another. Very sad indeed. Well there is my two penneth worth, for whatever it is worth.:mad::(:(

Things are very often not what they seem.

The policy of not discussing infractions or moderation decisions is valid and protects the members far more than it protects the moderators. Believe me it would make our job a whole lot easier if we were able to just disclose what goes on in the background.

Think about what would happen if we had a policy of discussing all moderator actions, every Tom, Dick and Harry would complain and the forums would be overrun with people complaining about their infractions.

As has been said many times, moderators come under the scrutiny of the forum owners and all moderator actions are deliberately in writing so that all mods and admin are in the loop and if a member has a valid gripe about a moderator decision then it will be investigated and rectified if needs be.

Every moderator decision is taken with care and when it will be controversial it is more often than not debated between more than one mod. You make the assumption that we are gung ho with moderating decisions and it is simply not the case. There is a process which is gone through and each and everyone of the banned members were given ample opportunity to prevent the bans from happening.

As I said at the beginning of my post, things are often not what they seem.

Shes gone because she posted sh*te all over the forum.

If you feel as though people being banned on a forum consistency is affecting your life, maybe you should read more of that bilble crap. Isn't "god" suposed to fill you with joy and zest for life

Oh Massey - it's you again and I thought you had given up on me. You still haven't answered my question about whether you saw the faerie post sh*te all over the forum. :(

you have alot of questions for someone who only joined a week or so ago:| I'm losing track of who has been banned so can't quite place you;)

Read the posts and decide for yourself. One mans intellectual brillance is another mans bullmanure.
I have and that's why I'm confused. :|

I was hoping that Massey and Matt (who are clearly part of the moderation team as well as the welcome committee) might share their knowledge with me :)

You've just reminded me - I must dish out a few faerie fleas - I will even give young Massey one (even though he was very rude to me in the Feedback forum) just to show no malice or favouritism.;)

I think Massey and George have more in common than they know. Can't post a link so just add the dot after www

www youtube.com/watch?v=1UHz5byGMTs&feature=related

Or I could just trundle off and write 8 even more pointless posts and then post the link :p

I'd be surprised if it is only three. I had my suspicions of duplicates BEFORE all the bannings.

Lets all sign up under other names, we can all 'hide' behind even more fronts then;)

The whole thing is farcical; as a business forum, how can anyone be expected to be taken serious - if we can keep re-inventing ourselves.

I'd be well and truly hacked off, if I was a paying member:(

Why would you worry about who was actually who as you have no idea generally anyway. Surely as long as any business advice they give is good and sound then that's fine for the general forum and sub forums.

Anything they put in Time Out is obviously taken in a light hearted manner.

As long as people who offer genuine and good advice are banned for the odd swear word or "harsh" remark then a community of trusted individuals will never be built here.

I'm sure the paying members who get banned for inadvertently using the "f" word for a third time are equally hacked off as well, hence their dwindling numbers. Would you pay £40 knowing you could be banned tomorrow for just saying the "wrong thing", even though you knew 100% you were correct in what you said.

It is beyond farcical now. It was a bit of laugh to start with when I suspected banned members of being back and up to their old tricks, now it is just a bit of a mind bender. It is hard to take any new members seriously and it puts them under too much scrutiny and suspicion.

Absolutely agree, whether it is time out or not - that any so called member can come back is basically taking the p**s.

So, anyone can write what they want, hack people off - knowing they can come back and start all over again.

It is not even funny any more - that ended with DWP, as he was 'funny' (whoever he really was) and not just sad!

What's "hacking" people off, just something you don't agree with so a ban is in order?

Name a few people who have been banned and then give the reason why you think they were banned? Bet you find it difficult to come up with genuine reasons for the bans.

The word is trusted, and how can people who get banned one minute, only to join back up as someone else, be trusted.

True, it is only time out, (at the moment) but that is irrelevant, if banned (whether you, or the board members agree) you are banned!

For a so called new poster you seem to know the board well, to comment that 'paid members are dwindling'!;)

I've been watching and reading for a long time, that's all. And as such seen what has been going on.

If a ban was unjustified - say because they asked awkward questions about the forum owners, would that make them any less trustworthy or their advice of any less value?

You are just a troll; you have not joined this forum to be part of the business discussion, you just hang around in Time Out.

Go join some chat site, and post your rubbish there.

Thanks, you have answered the question well.

Consider this, the forum post who's birthday it is each and every day. You can't join without giving your birth date - you can't argue with that.

They claim to have 105,000 plus members - easy maths 287 birthdays each and every day on average. Today none, the most is ever two or three.

105,000 plus members the most that are ever logged on is less than 0.01% and a "number" of guests.

They make money from a few suckers who pay to join, but mainly from ad's (those same ad's you click on by "accident")

Who do you trust now, those that have been banned or those that do the banning?

I'm sorry if I appear to have added to the mistrust.:( However, I can assure you that I am simply worried about a member who seemed to me to be in some sort of danger and very vulnerable prior to her being banned.

Poppy you said on another thread that you helped her last year - are you not still in contact with her?
