I am running clearance company based in London and my local transfer station just rise up price up to 50 pounds for recycle fridge, does anyone know any cheap place to recycle
thanks

The council taking them for free is likely only for householders, this guy is commercial.

Pass the cost onto your commercial clients. Residential clients give them the number for the local council to collect, explain it and make it easy for them to do, they'll appreciate it.

Hedgerows and ditches are very popular in my area thanks to council policy.

I recently changed the brake discs on my car - 15kgs of metal. They wouldn't take those either - "no car parts".

So where are you meant to take them, scrap metal dealer?

I chucked mine under the gates at my local breaker's yard. I'd guess that some people would simply put them in with their general waste in the wheelie bin.

I suspect most people do not know where there scrap metal dealer is. I occasionally go down the dump for consumer durables that I think the local waste won't take. I once broke a chair and sofa that got damaged by damp after a vacation when I was living at a suspect flat. I got a few strange looks from the waste disposal chaps yet no comments.

We have passed the old refrigerator on the metal. In our city, no one is engaged in the disposal of such materials.
