Webinar vs. Seminar. What will you prefer?

What will be more suitable for a small or medium sized company: to visit an ordinary seminar or a lecture organised by the local Chamber of Commerce, Trade Association etc. or participate in an online webinar? Webinar will be cheaper and will have similar materials shown.

I think it depends on what product you are selling and you who are trying to sell to.

In my opinion

Younger people = webinar

Older people = seminar

Business customers = seminar

I agree with Guvna - Business Customers will always want a seminar as the face to face networking opportunities can't be matched any other way.

Yep- if it is deemed important to business then it has to be a seminar - more opportunity for networking and less chance of being distrubed by 'work related matters'. I find that webinars either don't move fast enough or move too fast to concentrate, work related matters get in the way, and the instinct is to abandon the webinar (or to foget it is happening as business takes over) in favour of what are seen as more profit bearing activities - like seeing to customers!

If I am OUT of the office, I am not aware of things going on in the office, therefore full concentration is given to the subject matter.

 

Stuck in the office = webinar
Desperate for a day out of the office = seminar

although to be serious it would depend on the product and the prospects for meeting some new contacts.
