    Hi there,

I'm currently using my mobile number as my main contact number for my business.

I did see somewhere there was a website you can type your speech into and it will convert it into audio in which you can record from your phone to make your custom voicemail greeting.

From your experience would you say it's just better to use your own voice? From research a lot of the websites offering text to speech sound way to robotic and almost scammer like? With my business being a local service business I feel I maybe better using my own voice for the voicemail greeting?

Getting a few calls early Sunday morning etc so I could do with mentioning my opening times and that calls will be returned within those ours, alternatively email... I know it's quite common for some people to keep calling around if they don't get an answer within 5 minutes.

    Thanks

Why not get a VoIP business number? Systems can have IVR, greetings, open hours, an app on your mobile etc....

Did look into a voip setup but my mobile is on business cards and a lot of customers have it now. I was going to get a voip number from day 1 but didn't know if I was going to be living in the same town 2 years later. Therefore I didn't want to purchase a number with an area code but on the other hand a lot of people know 0333 numbers as scammers so I kept my mobile number.

See as your number is on business cards out there, and is used as the main business line, then I'd suggest recording the message yourself - whatever you want to say, open times, etc.

Wasn't sure if there was a way to move my mobile/business number away from my carrier and use my mobile number for a voip service then get a separate number/sim card for friends & family.

I feel for now a personalised greeting is most likely the way to go :)
