Voice Box - Any advice

Hi All

I'm looking to deliver about 1000 leaflets to promote e-lottery.

I'm going to have the web address printed on the brochure and also a message similar to "Get your free DVD and application pack by calling ************"

I need advice on either a voice box system or something else.

I am unable to use my home phone, work phone or mobile phone as I'm always on the go. I'd rather pay for a 24 hr service. I'm not expecting massive responce but would still like to have a service in place.

Any ideas??

Get a free 0870 number from http://www.numberstore.com/

Set it up as a voicemail, which forwards a sound file to your email address.

It can be set up in seconds.

We could help also.

You could open a free account and take an 0870, 0845 or geographic number (usefull if you're doing a local promotion as it looks like you are a local company).

From next week sometime we will be doing 0800 for £4.99 per month. (0808 £1.99)

We don't have set up charges and charge £1.99 for 0845 and geographic number for a month. 0870 are free but they may put customers off calling you as they think they are expensive to call (actually about 8p/min Day going to 1.5p/min Weekend)

You get a free voicemail number which you can record yourself and all messages are also automatically converted to MP3 format and sent to your email address along with the callers telephone number and time of calling details.

If you have more than one advert use a diferent telephone number on each so that you can measure response rates. We give you full calling stats (free again!) so you can measure it all.

Couple of things to be wary of:
1. Set-up and cancellation costs
2. Access to email/voicemail costs
3. when people advertise 'freefone' numbers they quite often mean 0808 which are free to call but customers are not clued up about them. On the other hand 95% DO know that 0800 is free - so if you go the free route do use 0800 not 0808!
4. You will be charged for incoming calls on an 0800 number - usually about 5p per minute. (Ours will be 3p)

I'm definately interested in a 0800 number.

Some thing that will go to an answer phone, play a short message, allow them to record a message such as a name and address.

If I've read the above right, I should then receive and email with an attached voice recording of any message left with the telephone number used and date + time.

So is the cheapest 0800 number going to cost me £4.99 a month and 3p a minute???

We can port numbers ie move them from your current supplier to us but the process can be messy (for obvious reasons). If you tell me your current number and supplier I can find out whether it's possible.

If we can do it, we will be charged a porting cost usually about £15-20 by your supplier which we pass on to you. After that you pay the standard rates above.

Unless your number is well know or plastered all over thousands of pieces of stationary and media you're best advised to take a new one.

We do self service, web based telephony, with no human interference, that's why it's so cheap - there's no margin in it for deals, re-sellers, referrers, best friends or even my wife.

Trust me everyone pays the same!

0800 is in test now and should be out mid to end week, if you sign up for and account (free of course) you'll get a spam telling you we've cracked it.

(btw - this is no small thing, I believe we'll be the first in the UK to do 0800 VoIP)

On your other questions we're deciding now on 0808 numbers - I think we'll do them, probably for much less than 0800 as they're not as well know. However, if you're cute you could say something like "call us for free on 0808 etc" and get the same effect for less.

Voicemail - all our numbers get free viocemail. This is the standard answerphone were you can record your own message and dial 1571 to listen to messages left by your callers. Additionally, each message left is sent to email as an mp3 file so it goes straight to your inbox as well.
